Reading Longer books.

Hello bookish friends,

I’ve got to a point with my reading where I want to read a wide variety of books. This includes longer novels, I’m always put off by how long some books are and normally opt for the 200/400 page mark. I do not normally stray from that unless its a series I really enjoy. However recently I’ve been trying to listen to longer books on audio. Especially ones I’ve had on my shelf for a long while. The perfect example of this is strange the dreamer. It was not high on my list to want to pick up, however, I really did want to read it. This was solved when I found it as an audiobook, it was the perfect listen as it took a little while to get through.

I have also found the same for the Eragon series and the night circus. Eragon was a re-read for me but The Night Circus was completely new. I really enjoyed both. However on my shelves as physical books, I was scared to pick them up.

Books that I need to read but length stops me:

The Book Thief – Markus Zusak

Never Fade – Alexandra Bracken

I Am Pilgrim – Terry Hayes

Lady Midnight – Cassandra Clare

Heroes of Olympus series – Rick Riordan

Carve the Mark – Veronica Roth

Children of Blood and Bone – Tomi Adeyemi

Red Queen series – Victoria Aveyard

The knife of never letting go – Patrick Ness

The Secret History – Donna Tart

The Name of the Wind – Patrick Rothfuss

Hopefully, I will pick these up soon as I really do want to read them.

As always, happy reading
