Hello, Bookish Friends,
When two soldiers from opposite sides of a never-ending galactic war fall in love, they risk everything to bring a fragile new life into a dangerous old universe.
From bestselling writer Brian K. Vaughan, Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the worlds. Fantasy and science fiction are wed like never before in this sexy, subversive drama for adults.
This was one of the weirdest graphic novels/comics I have read but it was amazing. The illustrations were so good! I am hooked on the storyline and I really want to know what happens next. I can also see why so many people enjoy this series.
Admittedly I do not read a lot of graphic novels a lot as I just forget to buy them. However recently I have really been enjoying branching out in my reading. This has made me come across some interesting books, graphic novels, poetry and lots of other things. I mainly picked this up because a lot of people had been raving about it online. However, it was not what I was expecting at all. I went into this graphic novel not knowing anything about it apart from it was sci-fi/fantasy. I am also so glad that this was the case because I don’t know if I would have picked it up if I knew the premise of this story. I loved everything about this and from seeing everyone else’s reactions online I am sure to pick up the next ones.
I’m so glad that my bookstore stocked these graphic novels, it is only by chance that I actually ended up seeing it because I was looking through the comic section for a customer. I am really glad I saw the series there though and I hope they remain in stock for a while!
as always, happy reading
