Hello bookish friends,
I just thought I would share my thoughts on reading Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman as it was amazing.
It took me a lot longer than expected to read this as I had to move and hand in my dissertation in the middle of picking up this book. Despite this I enjoyed this immensely it was a great continuation to the series.
The insight into thunderhead and the way the AI responds to everything was great in this book as it certainly gave me illuminae vibes when those parts were happening. Also the development of the scythe world was great.
I didn’t enjoy this book as much as scythe as that was spectacular and I read it so quickly. However this book had a lot more world building as the book didn’t need to focus on the creation of scythes as much. In some ways I am really annoyed that I couldn’t get fully immersed into this book because it took me nearly a month to read. I will have to reread it at some point when I can sit down and fully appreciate the world.
The development of the two protagonists was okay, I agreed with some of their progressions and choices but it was odd to see the two characters on such different paths.
The ending was great! I flew through the last 100 pages and It has certainly made me excited for the next book in the series.
As always, happy reading xxx
