Hello, bookish friends,
Another review for you… This book is certainly deserving of a five-star rating. I absolutely loved it.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
From the author of The Sky Is Everywhere, a radiant novel that will leave you laughing and crying – all at once. For fans of John Green, Gayle Forman and Lauren Oliver. Jude and her twin Noah were incredibly close – until a tragedy drove them apart, and now they are barely speaking. Then Jude meets a cocky, broken, beautiful boy as well as a captivating new mentor, both of whom may just need her as much as she needs them. What the twins don’t realize is that each of them has only half the story and if they can just find their way back to one another, they have a chance to remake their world.
This book made me feel so many different emotions, I laughed, I was heartbroken, I was lost and I was found all in one novel. This novel was truly a thing of beauty and its certainly one of the better YA books I have read in a while. Jandy Nelson has fast become one of my favourite authors and I cannot wait to pick up any of her other books.
I have had this book on my TBR shelf for the longest time because I got recommended it by a friend who said it was amazing. However, I then just didn’t pick it up, It looked like such a long book on my shelf and to be honest I was scared of it. I should learn by now that the longer books are most likely going to be the better ones!
I just love everything about this book, the brother-sister twin relationship is explored so well and so deeply. Along with all of the Art and Colours within this book, even though it is all in black and white. It is magnificent and certainly one I will keep on my shelves to read time and time again.
